what we do |
|
At the WORD project we are passionate about giving persons the platform and tools to find their own voice and create their own poems. the WORD project (TWP) is designed to engage persons to tap into their creative spirit and find their authentic self. Whether it’s a business leadership retreat or a an after-school program for youth, whether is a one time 2-hour workshop or a 12-week workshop series, TWP encourages participants to speak their personal truth through creative writing in a non-intimidating atmosphere. In addition to our latest offering, the “Re-Membering” Project, there are four distinct services we offer: 1) Healing Through Poetry [emphasis on developing outlet to express issues related to health and wholeness. ideal for health and retirement centers, libraries, churches.] 2) Community Workshops [emphasis on themes such as community healing, civil rights, team/community building. ideal for libraries, churches, nonprofit organizations, community centers.] 3) Children & Youth Workshops [emphasis on self-development using poetry mechanics. ideal for after-school and summer programs, in-school visits, community/rec centers, churches.] 4) Non-Profit Org. Training Through Poetry [emphasis on trainings for non-profit management/staff.] We look forward to working with you—whether on an individual basis or within a group—to guide you to the gift of writing your soul’s song! |
